THE CANADA-JAPAN CO-OP TRAINING WEEK
To assist students who have secured a placement in The Canada-Japan Co-op Program gain greater confidence and understanding of Japanese work expectations, knowledge on Japanese culture, language tips, business, economy, history and geography a unique one week program has been developed which is taken prior to a student’s departure to Japan.
LIVING IN JAPAN
From introducing yourself to gifts giving, business card introduction, and business card exchange.
CULTURE AND EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION
It is important to read up on Japanese culture, communication, and organizational behaviour prior to departure.
PRE-DEPARTURE PREPAREDNESS
Many small earthquakes occur on a regular basis in Japan. While most do not pose problems from time to time you may feel the effects. Most Japanese have come to live with these occurrences and you may want to familiarize yourself with emergency procedures should a major earthquake strike. Everyone prepares for such occurrences in Japan and preparatory information can be obtained from the municipal office.
